April 2008 Newsletter. Topic: Creativity

Each month, we focus on topics from A to Z. This month, it’s Creativity.

Sorry that I missed March’s newsletter.  I have been working on many projects this month, which is why the subject of “Creativity” is on my mind.

”What does Creativity have to do with health?” you might ask.  “A lot!” would be my answer.

In Alternative Medicine, we believe that health means freedom.  It’s not only freedom from disease, it’s the freedom to express ourselves in healthy ways, to express that spirit within.

How do you express yourself?  Maybe you like building websites.  Not everybody is the traditional artist who paints or sculpts.  Maybe you like creating a beautiful flower garden.  Or rebuilding a classic car.  Or maybe you like knitting a lovely scarf or creating a hand-beaded necklace to give as gifts to your loved ones.

Anything that expresses your creativity enhances your mental, emotional, and spiritual health.  And thus enhances your physical health.

Think about this idea today.  Are you expressing your creativity in some healthy way?

I searched for some websites about creativity to give you this month.  I found some free video websites on how to do knitting, crochet, and bead-work.  If you men are thinking, “Well, what about me?”  Have a look at the knitting videos and you’ll see a video called “Real Men Knit.”  Yes, men knit, too, and have been doing so for a very long time.

Meditation can help center your thoughts, calm your mind, and help you find your creative self.  So this month, I have included a free ebook on Meditation and Yoga.
