February 2008 Newsletter. Topic: Anxiety

Each month, we focus on topics from A to Z. This month, it’s Anxiety.

But don’t get anxious about it! We are going to be positive about it and put emphasis on solutions.

Everyone will have different reasons why a situation causes them anxiety. As a rule it’s usually when we don’t feel in control of a situation, then we feel the situation tightening around us, causing us to feel anxiety.

If anxiety is caused by us not feeling in control of a situation, the answer is to try and reverse this, and regain that control. The good news is: YOU CAN!

So, let’s start looking at some of those tools you can use for stress management.

One of the tools available to you is self-change hypnosis, a technique developed by Richard MacKenzie. His program on Stress Management is excellent and has an 8-week money back guarantee.

A little help from our herbal allies is worth looking at, too.

Magnolia Officinalis (known in Chinese medicine as houpu) is a species of Magnolia tree that is native to the mountains and valleys of China. The highly aromatic bark contains magnolol and honokiol, two compounds that have demonstrated anti-anxiety properties.

Phellodendron Amurense, or the Amur Corkree, also grows in China, and in parts of Japan.

A herbal remedy called Relora combines Magnolia Officinalis and Phellodendron Amurense. This combination maintains normal levels of certain hormones in the body (cortisol and DHEA), in order to control anxiety and stress and their related symptoms, like weight gain. This herbal combination helps in producing and promoting relaxation and good feelings of high self-esteem.

Next month, it’s B. So what do you think, babies or bodycare? Stay tuned to Healthy-Woman.info and see!
